Fran O’Hanlon is a composer and songwriter who has released music under the project names AJIMAL and Mezanmi (‘mes amis’). Specialising in ambient folk with electronic and classical influences, he was one of the winners of the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition in 2020 and has opened for Van Morrison, Lucy Rose and The 1975 amongst others. His third album, Always Upwards, was released in November 2024. He has composed scores for a variety of short films and has partnered with Colourbox Music to compose trailer music for film, TV and game. His music is released through his own label, Always Upwards. Outside of music, he is a practising palliative care physician in London.
