Ferris & Sylvester are a London-based duo made up of Issy Ferris and Archie Sylvester. The two met as solo musicians, battling through the carnage that is London’s vibrant music scene and started writing together. Fast forward 2 years and the band find themselves playing packed out gigs, radio play across BBC’s Radio 1, 2 and 6 Music and a major TV sync. They have played 100+ shows over the past 12 months, opening for Jade Bird, Robert Plant, George Ezra, Eric Clapton and Tom Odell as well as American artists Anderson East, Ruston Kelly, Joshua Headley, Liza Anne and Justin Nozuka. Sitting somewhere between the riff-driven energy of Jack White and the expansive melodies of First Aid Kit, there’s a genuine groundswell of both fan and industry buzz about them back home which will only increase thanks to showcase gigs at Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City and The Great Escape before a summer of festivals including two of Europe’s biggest, Glastonbury and Sziget. All this live activity is backed by single releases with full press, promo and marketing teams – pretty impressive for an unsigned act! Q4 sees them embark on a 50 date headline UK and European tour leading to the release of their debut LP in early 2020.
‘Dreamy, deceptively lovely folk-pop that tickles the ear and softens you up for the thornier sentiments contained therein. Pretty as a California sunset. Gorgeously dusky singing voice and immaculate harmonies.’ ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE
